Splatoon Fest! (including a slide for when Splatoon 3 comes out)

An activity for translations races, race to speak or whiteboard activities. I added two slides at the end to print and laminate some cards to allocate team colours.

-Students in groups.
-Get them to complete the activity of your choice.
-ALT or JTE checks if it`s correct.
-Roll a dice (I suggest one of those big rubber ones from daiso/seria) and colour that many shapes your team‘s colour (must be touching their base or previously claimed shape).

You can decide the rules for stealing shapes/areas. Perhaps janken with the team they want to steal from or roll 4+ on the dice to steal. I put +5 to the centre circle to encourage a scramble to the centre but I may change that after further testing.

Let me know if it goes well! Good luck in the new school year peeps!

You can doooo it!!!!

This is cool! I'm bad with powerpoints; how do you get the different colors to fill in the squares?

There is an animation. If you choose the animation (塗りぶしの色変更 in Japanese), then double click the animation in the animation tab and under the timing tab (タイミング) you can select the shape you want to change colour (so that when you run the PowerPoint you can click on the shape to make it change colour). Then just add extra change colour animations (but change the colour) and stack them under the click animation you just made to make it cycle through the colours.

Remember to add the original colour too (in case you make a mistake in class you can change it back). It‘s not too difficult, but it‘s quite tricky to explain. Good luck!

Interesting. I never realized you could do the fill changing animation on semi-transparent objects. Opens up some possibilities.

I did the colour change animations, copied and pasted to fill the area and then made them all transparent (en masse). I am not sure if that makes any difference though...
