from pictures to a word

short activity for warming up the class

By looking at the pictures. Students must try to make a word out of it.
I`m using compound words like:

stop+watch= stopwatch
jelly+fish= jellyfish
hot+dog= hotdog
cup+cake= cupcake
butter+fly= butterfly

It`s a fun way to start the class. Just to twist their minds.

      It is a nice activity, but the transitions are not always at the right time. Sometimes the pictures and the answer come up at the same time, or the answer comes first.
