New Horizon Elementary 5 Unit 4 WHO IS THIS?

This board game helps the kids practice the "Who is this?" question in a fun and controlled environment. It is inspired by an activity by another ALT.

This board game is pretty straightforward. You can review the special "Go back 1 or 2 steps" with the kids and the "Go 3 or 2 steps forward" blocks to ensure they understand them.

The board game can be used after the introductory class as they will need some introduction to the topic to maximize efficacy of the activity.

The target question is "Who is this?"

If there are two members in each group, one kid asks his/her member the targeted question, and the other member replies with the targeted phrase "This is.................."

The game works for more that two members in the group also.

You will need the following.

  1. Divide the class into groups of 2s or 3s
  2. Print out copies of the pdf that equals the amount of your desired group of students.
  3. A die for each group to be thrown.
  4. You can use any classroom object that fits the oval shape.

Have fun.
