I use this to review target sentences with the kids.
One way of doing it is to have them in pairs. After the kennels shuffle, I ask the students to use the target sentences with their pairs. Example student A asks student B “what do you want for your birthday?” Student A answers and then proceeds to ask the same question. After that, at the count of 3, all students say which kennel Cooper is hiding.
Another way of doing it is, after the kennels shuffle, ask for a volunteer. First, all students ask the volunteer using the target sentence. Example “what do you want for your birthday?”. The volunteer answers the question before saying which kennel Cooper is hiding.
