This activity goes with New Horizon 1 textbook for the Unit 10 Activity. In the presentation, I included two postcards and used past tense verbs. After reviewing past tense verbs and reading the postcards together, the students make their own. The postcard have space for the students to include a front photo with a caption and on the back they can write to whoever. We had some students writing to their mama and some writing to Tanjiro. I had my students write about what they did during winter vacation. The students can also choose which stamp they like and put it on the left hand side of the postcard.
I included slides that have past tense verbs and different greetings. This helped the students a lot and they were able to make some really cute postcards. My JTE and I posted this slideshow on google classroom and then the students could access it and make their own. It took about 30 minutes for the students to make their own and turn it in. Be sure to go over the postcard examples before having them make their own.
Also, with google classroom, I am able to add private comments to their postcard and then they can edit and turn in again.
