- Greetings
- Small talk: How do you spell your name?
- Language input: Read each word from A to Z.
- What’s missing game: While the students’s eyes are closed, delete on of the picture on the keynote slide that has many flash cards in one page. Mix them around and let students guess which card was deleted.
- Line Game (also known as criss-cross game): I usually do sets of 10 words, then I reset the activity (making everyone stand again). Each time the round is finished, we review the words and their spellings. If you are running low in time, you can skip the review since we will give the students time to study anyways.
- Divide the class into groups and give them time to study the spellings of all the words from page 16 to 17. Since it’s by group, they can decide among themselves who is in charge of studying which words (since there are too many for one student).
- Spelling bee: Provide whiteboards, markers, and whiteboard erasers to each team. Using the slide, let the students spell the vocabulary that appear.
- Good bye
