First, Review Nihongo days of the week.

Easy song that repeats the 7 days in order from Sunday to Saturday.
Clapping can be optional if it adds confusion. But it can be a way to engage kids and help them sing the song.

This game incorporates past lessons of 2年生 (Fruits, Sports, Weather). You can make your own version based on your class' past lessons.
Show the calendar to the students. Teacher will say a fruit/sport/weather.
Examples: I will eat a banana. / I will play baseball. / It is a rainy day.
Students listen to the fruit/sport/weather mentioned, and look for it in the calendar.
They find the corresponding day at the top of the column and say the English day.Demonstrate this first and have 2-3 practice rounds to ensure they understand the game.
Other Options for activities:
Game: Make a Week (10 minutes)
Give students 1 piece of paper with 1 day each.
When you say Go!, students must make a group of 7 members with different days.
Group members arrange themselves in 1 line, by order of day, from Sunday to Saturday.
They sit down once finished arranging themselves.
The whole class checks their answer by chanting/singing the Days of the Week Song.Sugoroku (10 minutes)
Print the Sugoroku calendar (you can use any of the PDF pages too.)
Group the students into pairs and give them 1 dice.
Students use erasers as their playing pieces, and go from Day 1 to 29/30/31.
When they land on a date, they must say the Day of the Week.
The first to reach the end (29th) wins.
