This is a board game for practicing the phrase "It was _____." (ex: It was nice. It was fun. It was delicious.)
I used Dice at my school. specifically a set that had numbers 0,1,2,3,-1,-2 . this helped the game go for a long time even though it is short in distance. please use whatever way you would like for calculating how to move forward that you like.
My students use their erasers as their pawn to mark the space.
when they land on a space they have to say the "It was___" phrase they think best describes the event. For even more practice have the students say the event phrase as well. example: "I saw fireworks. It was beautiful."
I had the students listen to the other members. if they felt the phrase was wrong or insincere they could block the player from moving forward by returning them to the space from which they departed.
BE CAREFUL and aware of your students before doing this however. My students get along well and had no problems with this but in some classes this may not be the case and including such a rule may end in fighting or upset.
