DETAILED EXPLANATION:
- Have students practice the dialogue. Do a demonstration with your teacher. (Before doing so, fill in the blank with your own "Let's…" sentence.)
- After you have completed the demo, tell students to fill in the blank on their worksheet. (Your teacher may have to help them along with some Japanese. Walk around and help students write sentences.)
- Make pairs and janken. Winner is A and the loser is B. Students say the appropriate dialogue for A and B until they reach the next janken area of the worksheet.
- Janken again. If A wins, the dialogue branches off to the left and students continue the dialogue with their pre-defined parts. A also gets a point. If B wins, students branch off to the right and continue the dialogue with their pre-defined parts. B also gets one point.
- Students then go find a new partner and continue this process until you decide to end the game.
- At the bottom of the worksheet, have students create their own original sentences. If you have extra time, have some students volunteer to read their sentences. Collect the papers so you can correct their sentences later.
