Tell students they will be interviewing their classmates, the teacher, and the ALT. Give out the small printout. Practice saying the sentences in question form, or explain the sentences in Japanese. Give some rules such as: "Have a different name in each space!" or, for small classes "Try and get everyone's name onto the sheet somewhere!" Then, invite students to walk around the room to interview as many people as they need to complete the sheet. Encourage them to speak English and write in ローマ字, but using a bit of Japanese is OK.
After 5-10 minutes of walking around and interviewing, get the students to return to their seats. Go through the sentences together and ask students to share their results with the class.
This activity was prepared for classes studying Sunshine 3 Program 8, but could be used for any class studying relative pronouns.
What would be the best way to go around and ask the questions to each other?
Students turn to their neighbours in their seats, or walk around the room talking to one another.
