Don't Be Careful! KARUTA

Karuta game for ichinensei/imperatives using signs

This is a karuta game for JHS ichinensei using imperative grammar through various signs.

There are 3 different types of signs included in these cards:
Don't ~ (ex: Don't swim)
Be ~ (ex: Be careful of the baby)
Verb ~ (ex: Wash your hands)

I tend to play where I leave "Don't ride a skateboard" and "Don't ride a bike" until the very end and throw in some trick ones as well (like Don't ride a horse)

Prep: Print out the document/cut each sign and put them on a card for karuta.
In class: students should know how to play so just tell them to make a group and get read to play karuta. If they already learned the grammar, they should know what to listen for.
