"If I had a million dollars, I would buy you a house."
Pretty straight forward powerpoint,
Open with an optional song video if you think the kids will like it or skip.
Engage - Warm-Up: Have the students talk in groups/pairs about what they would do with a million dollars! Ask some students to share their answers, don't worry too much about their grammar yet.
Study - Grammar points: A couple slides explain the pattern / format for second conditionals and when to use them.
Study - See if they can fill in the blanks of the example sentences.
Activate - Provide scenarios and have them create their own sentences for each. They can speak aloud or you can give them paper to write in down solo / in pairs / or in groups.
Please comment if you spot any mistakes I may have missed! I'll update the file~!
Thank you for this!
Thanks. I had to change some stuff when I was making it for my class but this was a great help and my teachers thought it was dope
Hey, great job on this, thanks so much! I cut back on the grammar explanation and focused on speaking and writing. Be careful about the question related to making your mother happy. One student's mother recently passed away so it wasn't great for her. It was also a bit awkward asking my JTE as her mother has also passed. I changed it to "make your family happy" for future classes. Also, I took out a lot of the Japanese translations -- the JTE can explain things, if necessary. Thanks again!
Very cute. I love what you did here. Thank you!
Any way you could upload a version without the song video so that this is below the 40mb subscriber size?
