This Is My Day Book

Students will make a small book about their daily routine.

Intended for use in Let's Try 2 Unit 9. It's a pretty difficult unit to go through and many students struggle with some of the vocabulary, but this might be a fun and creative way for students to share their daily routines when you're finishing up the unit. I ripped this booklet straight from Crown Jr. 6 and edited it to be used for the students' daily routines, so feel free to change it how you see fit.

Make copies of the worksheet on A4 or bigger. Cut off the edges. Give a sheet to each student, letting them fold their own book. Show them how they should fold the paper in half vertically first and cut along the solid line, but NOT to cut all the way through. Since some of the kids will cut all the way through no matter how you explain, be sure to bring extras. Make sure you know how to fold the book so you can help students.

Students can write their name in English on the cover page. 4th graders might not be comfortable with writing yet, so you can explain how to write in the lines, or just make it a blank box so they can write freely. Each page has "It's ________." where they can write the time, and then space for them to draw a picture. If you want them to present their books in class, they can show the page and say "It's 7:00. I wake up." and so on.

Have fun! :)
