Animals in the U.S.

This is a simple PowerPoint presentation that shows a few of the "official" state animals for each state. I separated it into 5 parts, with 10 states per part (in alphabetical order). The buttons (1-5) on the top and bottom slides will take you to the different sections.

I made this as a warm-up cultural presentation for my JHS special needs class. They like animals, so it's fun to see pictures of the different animals of each state. Each class period I went through 10 of the states. I also printed out a map of the U.S. and had the students point to the state I was talking about on the map as listening practice. Since we've been learning animal vocab, for a few animals I asked "What animal is this?"
