My students thought this was interesting. I went through and had them read the Japanese, and then I showed the English spelling and said it in my accent. Obviously some words have bigger differences than others, but keeping some of the similar ones in like sushi keeps it interesting, I think.
This doesn't really need too much more explanation. Just go through and let the students hear Japanese words in your accent and discuss if the word in English has any difference in meaning.
(This is divided into three parts, but obviously if you wanted to shorten it and make it one part, you could get rid of the less interesting words and trim it down.)
As always, feel free to edit this!
本当に感謝します!Thank you so much! Your work and contribution is very appreciated!
Ah! This fits perfectly for the Word Adventure portion of New Horizon 5, page 72. Thanks!
