Comic Strips for English Board - May/June

Easy English reading, with Japanese translation and Katakana pronunciation for support

Print 1 panel per A4 sheet and put up in your English board.
Option: Cover the translations with flaps of paper (I used double-sided tape on the top edge of flaps), so that advanced students can try and read the comic strips in pure English, while beginner students can look behind the flaps to see the Japanese translation and Katakana pronunciation.

Please let me know if you have suggestions/comments for improvement.
Thanks!

It's cute and a fun little twist at the end. My only pet peeve is using katakana. It reinforces bad pronunciation in the kids in my opinion.

You can cover/white-out the katakana if you want. :)

My inaka schools have somewhat low level of English, and I wanted them to have English exposure even if they can't read or don't have motivation to read in English, so I put in the katakana for those who need assistance, so that they can somewhat read it or know how it sounds in English, and not just what the words mean.

It's also for new words they haven't encountered. With so many English rules and exceptions, it's hard to know the correct pronunciation even if they have the basics of phonics mastered.
