I've mostly worked at bigger schools (4-6 classes per grade), so I am used to doing "bigger" activities with "smaller" groups.
Teaching english is not just standing in front of class anymore. It's having the students become the center of learning.
Don't use Japanese, it will take away any challenge or opportunity away from them to learn and remember new words and sentences.
