This lesson comes with a power point and a worksheet.
Power point has a wheel of fortune template that I found on this website : https://www.gamesbytim.com/wheel-of-fortune-for-powerpoint/ (Wheel of Fortune for PowerPoint - Games by Tim).
Inside the power point, there are instructions on how to adjust the ppt to suit your needs. I made sentences about my JTE and I. So it goes without saying that you will have to change it to suit your needs. You may also want to consider adjusting the ppt itself as it contains features of the real wheel of fortune that you will not necessarily need for your lesson.
There are 2 slides dedicated to making the puzzles(each contains 12 puzzle boards), however I only used one.
How to play:
make enough copies of the worksheet for each student. Then place the students into groups of 4/6. The 2nd slide is where your puzzles will be displayed. after placing the students in groups, bring up the 1st puzzle on the screen and have the students give one letter per group. For every letter guessed correctly the group receives a point. The group that is able to solve the puzzle before the answer is revealed will get one more point.
Before revealing the answer, the students must take their worksheets to you or the JTE to have it checked for the answer. one member from each group will come and show their paper to you for each puzzle.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing.
