Tell students what the Grammy's are. I compare it to Japan Record Taisho.
Ask if they know any Grammy award winning artists. Tell them about 2022's 'Best New Artist' winner, Olivia Rodrigo.
Performance: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4drP6Q6p30)
* It is a grammy performance so no bad words in this video.
Let them watch the performance once with no interuptions.
Second time have them listen and try to fill in the first row of lyrics from 'I got my driver's license____' to 'Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street'
Pause the video and have them share answers. (Some students can infer from the grammar other's look ahead on the worksheet. It is fine if they look ahead, like tests, sometimes you can find answers in the questions. (hooray test taking skills)
Continue the song from 'and all my friends,' to ' Sidewalks we crossed' and repeat.
I usually use it for 3rd grade classes learning Have you ever? I have never.
The lyrics are a bit difficult so I translate along when reviewing the answers to the blanks.
