Do a usual board game set up: explain the board game, group the class, give them the board game and the die, students take out their erasers.
Make sure to explain the board game first. I set each type of command in a color code:
blue box for "name..."
orange box for "don't..."
light green for direct commands such as "jump, stand, read..."
yellow box for "let's..." - this is the special box where all the members MUST do what is asked (for "let's" to make sense)
gray box for "please..."
My first graders enjoyed it very much!
I attached the .docx format so you could edit it.
This is great, thanks for sharing. I'm sure it will come in handy someday.
This works really great for Unit 5 Part 2 of Here We Go. It also works really great in any class. Every class we played it in had a lot of fun.
Thanks for sharing. Looks like fun.
