Student Made Kahoot

Students write their own English questions about themselves or their favorite topics for a fun end-of-the-year Kahoot quiz.

  • Print and cut out the question form.
  • Day 1:
    • OPTIONAL: Make a Kahoot with question examples about you and your teacher to show first.
    • Pass out the question sheets and have students write their own question, answer options, and correct answer.
    • Tell them it can be about anything they want, but questions must be in English!
    • Writing time will vary. My kids took 30 minutes.
    • Collect all the question sheets.
    • After class, make a Kahoot with the questions.
  • Day 2:
    • Play the Kahoot!

Notes: You may need to ask your kids to clarify their questions to you if their English isn't perfect! If you aren't checking during class, you may want to budget some time in for this before you play the Kahoot.

Variations:
- You could do this entirely online! If your classes have Google Classroom, make a Google form and upload the link to their classroom. Then you can copy and paste the English into the Kahoot easily.
- If you don't mind the students seeing each other's questions and answers ahead of time, then you could also use Google Sheets.
1. Go to Kahoot
2. Make a Kahoot
3. Click Add Question
4. Click Import Spreedsheet and download the template
5. Copy/paste the template into a Google Sheets and upload the link to their Google Classroom
6. Once it's filled, download it as an Excel Spreadsheet again and upload.
