SNAP is a classic card game that is easy to learn and loads of fun to play with friends!
Materials: Around the Town Cards
Players: 3~6
Target Language: Vocabulary; Phrases; Grammar Points

Break your class up into smaller groups and give each group a single deck.
- Shuffle the cards
- Deal out all of the cards (some players can have 1 extra card)
- Players DO NOT look at their cards. They place them face down in a pile directly in front of them.
- The first player takes the first card off of their pile and places it face up directly in front of their pile so that everyone can see it. At this point, all of the players should say the word that is on the card (or use the word to say the target grammar point) IN THEIR HEADS.
- The next player (clockwise or counter-clockwise) does the same thing with their deck.
- This process continues, one player after the other--placing each new card they draw directly on top of the previous one in their pile--until someone shows a matching card (the picture/number matches)
- The first person in the group to SAY the MATCHING CARD'S vocabulary (or target language using that card's vocabulary)OUT LOUD wins BOTH PILES that the matching card is on. They add the cards they've won onto the BOTTOM of their hidden pile.
- The first person to collect all of the cards--or the person to collect the most cards by the time you stop the game--wins the game.
** To avoid having students who lose (those who run out of cards) sitting around with nothing to do, you can let them get back in the game if they say the matching cards.
