I usually give these wordseaches and crosswords to my 6th graders so they have something to do while I'm running speech tests. For the difficult crosswords I usually write options for answers up on the blackboard and they can choose the correct one for each clue. Just a fun little activity to kill time, and I'll often given them a sticker or something for finishing.

I just added an answer sheet, sorry I didn't even think to upload that. As for the kanji, I do these crosswords with ES 6th Grade and they don't really have a problem with is generally. If there's words they don't know they either ask me or the HRT for help, but because I put the answer options on the board and let them work in pairs or with their friends they can usually manage it by process of elimination
