There is:
1) A warm-up worksheet before the game.
2) Sugoroku board which can be printed and laminated (A3 paper)
You will need:
Dice
Player pieces (counting chips or something)
Instructions:
1) Have the students match the verbs and change the form to -ing on the worksheet. It will help them when they play sugoroku.
2) Put students into groups (depending on how many boards you have) I recommend at least 6 for a large class of 30-35.
3) They must rock, paper, scissors to decide who rolls first.
4) When landing on the space, they must say the sentence in English. Make sure they know to ask you for help if they can't translate it to English. The back of their worksheet has some pirate-themed vocabulary to help them.
5) -1, -2, -3 spaces means they have to go back that many spaces.
It focuses on gerund phrases:
V-ing~ is (adjective).
I (started/finished) V-ing~.
Is it possible to get a version of this we can edit?
