Hello all,
It's my last ever lesson soon! So I want to do something fun.
I took prompts from the game Fibbage and adapted them to use with more simple language. I find the game to be heavily American-centric, so I added the ones about the UK myself. You can easily add your own nifty facts about your own country.
The rules on how to play Fibbage are on the PowerPoint in English and Japanese.
I intend to play this with my Year 5 and Year 6 students where they HRTs have a decent understanding of English.
Font: As always, I use the kid-friendly font from the textbook. If you do not have Handwriting WeCan or Mitsue Handwriting, please change it to something more appropriate.
Had never hear of Fibbage before, thanks for sharing. This seems like so much fun.
This sounds fun but I'm a little confused by the "your answer must be a lie" rule.
What happens if a team accidentally write down the correct answer? "Pumpkins" for example for the boat race question.
I just tell them to submit a different answer. The game actually comes up with a prompt that says you are too close to the correct answer, so write something else. This gives the kids an opportunity to write something similar!
Ah ok. Thanks.
This looks really fun! I will show it to my JTE's. Thanks for sharing.
What a great idea for an end of year activity!
This is genius! Its offline friendly and I can easily make little slips to collect answers, and write on the board the potential answers so they can see the words. Will def use this. Thank you!!
Yeah, the Kobe BOE goes a bit block happy, so I make all of my stuff in PowerPoint. I'm glad you like it! Just taught my last ever class with it sob sob.
Love playing this game on Jackbox. Never thought about adapting it for class. Thanks for the idea, and for all the great activities over the years.
