A One Piece-themed PowerPoint/Whiteboard game that can be used for unit review at all Junior High School levels.
Materials:
- ~10 Whiteboards / Markers
Preparation:
1) - Print 1 copy of the Score Sheet per class
2) - Run through the PowerPoint in presentation mode (AND/OR add your own custom grammar/review)
Lesson:
- Information and tips are included in the main PowerPoint. It is best to move students desks into groups of 4. This game is designed to run itself mostly automatically, so please go through it in presentation mode prior to the lesson. NOTE: there are sounds on most slides.
Simply edit the text to create your own questions. This version is intended for 3年生 students currently on page 102 of the New Crown Textbook (mentioned on the chalkboard on slide 4)
- I always conduct the game while my OTE keeps score on the blackboard. The other attachment titled “One Piece Review Game – Score Sheet” might be useful for tracking correct answers during the game. Click on letters to reveal their score.
- I generally give around 1 minute per round. During that time, you can walk around from group to group and identify what they wrote on their mini whiteboard:
fully correct = 2 pts, partially correct = 1 pt, incorrect = 0 pts. Hand these results to the OTE to write down. The team that answered first gets first crack at the reward cards. Teams that earned 0 points may not select a card that round.
