MATERIALS NEEDED:
- BabaVader attachment: You will need to copy cards in the attachment to meet the needs of your class. Make sure there is only one Darth Vader card.
DETAILED EXPLANATION:
- Hand out the 7 cards to each student.
- Students remove the pairs they have and give them to the teacher. You might have them say whether they like that particular sport when they give them to you: I like baseball, or I don't like baseball.
- Students mill, meet, janken and the winner says a sport he/she likes: I like basketball. Preferably, a sport that they are looking for the ensure the sport constantly changes. Then, the winner chooses one card from the loser. The student taking the card should not be able to see the hand.
- The say bye to each other and go off to meet another student.
- Once a student has gotten rid of all their cards they can sit down.
- The Darth Vader card being the only one without a match will be eventually get stuck with one student. That student is Baba Nuki, or in this case Darth Vader.
VARIATIONS:
- Instead of only the winner getting to draw a card. After the winner has drawn, have the loser say a sport they like (or are looking for) and then they get a chance to draw a card.
TIPS/CAUTIONS:
- Having one student end up being Darth Vader might cause some crying. If you think your class will be like this, simply add in another Darth Vader card to the game and reverse the rules. Whoever collects both Darth Vader cards is the Ulimate Winner!
