Numbers and Feelings Dobble (Spot It)

Numbers 1~20 and feelings Dobble game made for Let's Try 1 U3 numbers, with feelings thrown in for review.

Dobble card game designed to be used for ES 3rd grade numbers unit.

If you don't know Dobble, the basic idea is that every card has one image/word/etc that matches to every other card. In this version, the words are numbers and also feelings and characters (as I needed more words to fill up the cards!)

Students get into groups of 3-5 (depending on class size), shuffle the cards and place one in the middle. The rest of the cards are in 1 pile and the students take turns turning over a card. When they find a matching number on both cards, they call out the number - fastest wins the card. Then repeat until the pile is finished and the student with the most cards is the winner.

Included vocabulary:
- Numbers 1-20
- Feelings (happy, hungry, sad, angry, sleepy)
- Characters (Pikachu, Doraemon, Kirby) - not really vocabulary but it gets them excited haha!

I've made the cards with a backing, so if you print double sided it should work out super easy to cut out :)

Enjoy!

    Great game. How to print?

@lessenthedmg I hope you can enjoy the game in class!

@lowpayne if you can print double sided, select the flip on long edge option! If you can't (which I didn't think I could do until I'd already printed 3 sets!!) you'll have to stick the backing onto the card manually, or instead just back on to coloured card!

How long does this game usually take to complete?

@AdamG93 I haven't actually played this variation of dobble with my students yet but a different version I have played in class with the same amount of cards usually takes a few minutes for a single round, so I just have them play a few times in maybe 6-10 mins depending on how long it took to explain/how much time we have left in class and keep track of how many times they won!

Thanks. I played this with my JHS Year 1 students and they loved it! Cutting out enough cards for near 40 students per class took forever though. Would definitely recommend buying a Dobble set instead if at all possible.

@AdamG93 I'm glad they liked it! Yeah, unfortunately making card games for big classes is quite time consuming :(
