This is an individual game for 2年生 that is partnered with introductory slides to explain sentence structure and vocabulary. The goal is to get the students to practice the phrase 'may I...?' through some light competition.
Instructions:
- Present ‘May I?’ Slides and walk around asking some of the students the questions featured on the board. Use about 10m for presentation. - After the presentation, pass out the ‘May I…?’ Janken Worksheet Game. Have the students cut out the cards, I allowed about 5 minutes to do so. Then, use about 10-15m for the game. - On the worksheet, there's a script that references the vocab from the intro slides. The students must ask each other 'May I have/use/steal/borrow your __________ please?' (referencing the script is ok!)
- Janken! Winners can keep the item (No, you may not have my ~~), losers must give the item away (Yes, you may have my ~~).
- The goal is to win as many items as you can! And if any students lose all thier items, they can always win them back!
- Use 5m to tally points and award stickers to the winner.
Links are included in this description but I will upload them here just in case! Have fun!

Thank you for this. The last image of the presentation though, "Can I steal your backpack?", the image is showing a purse/wallet.
