This worksheet can be used in 2 separate lessons. The first lesson is when the students can think about their own daily routine and what time they do these activities. If there's time left, they can introduce their own daily routine in pairs or in front of the class. The next lesson is when they think about what they like about each time and then do the interview activity on the last part of UNIT 4.
The mini-cards matching activity can be used after the kids have learned all the time and activity vocabulary words. "What time is it? It's 6 a.m. It's Wake-up Time." And so on.
This is how it works:
- Get 1 card each. Half of the students will get the time cards, the other half will get the activity cards.
- Talk with your friends one at a time until you find your match. Both students will say, “What time is it?”
- The student holding the time card will always go first. If both students hold the time card or the activity card, either one goes first.
- When you find your match, say, “We matched! Yay!” Go to the teachers and get a seal.
- When you don’t, please say, “Oh, no! See you!” Go and find another friend.
- Watch out! The teachers have a TYPHOON card! When the teachers activate this card for a few seconds, you have to exchange cards as many times as you can without hurting your friend and destroying the card.
There are 20 cards in total but I made 4 extra cards for my class. Please laminate the cards for durability.
Thanks to the Time and routine mini cards made by kmx2600. It's so cute and I loved it! :)
