Objective:
To help students identify and recognize the two halves of this grammar.
To make matching pairs and win the game!
Set up:
Print one set of cards for each group of students. Make sure you print double-sided (along the short edge) so that you can't see through the cards. Use A3 paper!
Cut up and laminate (optional, but they can get a bit crumpled otherwise).
Method:
Give each group a set of cards.
Get students to spread the cards out, back-side up, all over their table.
Explain the rules. They are looking for matching pairs - two cards that together make a correct sentence, they will be a clear match.
Try to get them to say the sentence as they flip the cards for extra practice.
However, there is 1 special card, a Mix Up card. If a student turns over a Mix Up card, all the cards on the table have to be reshuffled!
(so they can't remember where the cards are)
The winner has the most pairs at the end!
((For formatting, I use: 'Antique Olive Compact' or 'Segoe UI Black' for titles, and 'UD デジタル UK-R' for body text.))
this looks fun and will try it with my students next week! thank you so much!
