This is a simple worksheet to practice relative clause/reduced relative clause. I teach a small class of 3rd years who are interested in drawing so this went over well with them. Please let me know how it went for you!
Materials:
- writing utensil
- prints
-tablet
- timer (optional)
Have 2 wheels open with different options.
I use this website (https://pickerwheel.com/) but use anything that passes the firewall.
1 wheel has an object, the second wheel has a description.
ex:
- wheel 1: horse, girl, friend, house,
- wheel 2: I like, is blue, can play the piano well.
You can then spin each wheel to get a random combination to form a sentence.
The students must write the complete sentence and also translate to japanese.
They finally draw the completed picture in the bottom square.
I think this activity is pretty straightforward. You can adjust the length of the time you want to do the activity for, or change the prompts yourself.
