Activity

3rd Person Singular Memory

Students interview each other in groups and then tell the ALT. First Grade JHS.

I was asked to teach a lesson on 3rd person and didn't have much time to prepare but this activity was a hit.

  1. Put students into lunch groups. Each class has six lunch groups with 5-6 students. The bigger the group the better
  2. Have students number themselves from 1-6.
  3. Student 1 then asks each group member a question and then after has to stand and tell the JTE about each member. Example: Question: What sport do you play? Answer: I play tennis. / I don't play sports. Report: Tomo plays tennis, Anya plays soccer, Yuki doesn't play sports and I do kendo.

I had six questions but was able to only ask 5, so it takes up the whole class period.

The Questions:
1. What sport do you play?
2. Do you have any pets? (What pet do you have?)
3. What time do you go to bed?
4. What subject do you study everyday?
5. What anime do you like?
6. What don't you like?

I included the powerpoint I made.
