This activity is aimed at pre-school/kindergarten students or lower elementary classes.
Materials:
- A Christmas Tree Print-out
- Christmas Lights Print-out (there are 25 lights per page)
- Glue or tape (preferably double-sided)
- Scissors
- Colored pencils/markers (optional)
Directions:
Each student should receive one "Christmas Tree" and one set of "Christmas Lights."
They should both be printed in color, but if you'd like for the activity to last longer, a black-and-white version of the Christmas lights has been included. Students can color in the lights how they want, then cut and paste them.
General Notes:
I did this activity with my kindergarten class. I cut out and attached double-sided tape to the Christmas lights in advance so all the students needed to do was stick it on their paper. I set up a "Christmas Lights Shop" at the front of the room, let the students come and ask for a color, then they went back to decorate.
The class was very small (only 8 students) so it didn't take that much time to prep.
