DETAILED EXPLANATION:
- Give each student a worksheet and let them write a starting word (or you can pick a starting word). The last letter of the word then becomes the first letter of the next word. Students try to complete all the blanks up to the finishing square.
- All words must fit onto the grid. For example, at the end if there are six spaces left to the finish, then they must use a six letter word.
VARIATIONS:
- Students can play in groups, individually or in pairs and each person can say their word.
- You can set a rule of having less than a certain number of words in total, so the students must think of big words to take up more space.
TEACHING SUGGESTIONS:
- I encourage students to use words with 5 or more letters, otherwise it's far too easy.
