DETAILED EXPLANATION:
- Have the students make pairs.
- Students will write their names on the bottom of the worksheet in order to keep track of their points.
- Review the English sentences.
- The first student reads a sentence using the top row and left column of the worksheet in order to choose their points. If the point value of the sentence is positive, the student will read it as a positive sentence while remembering to add "s" to the verb. If it is a negative point value, the student will read the negative and using "doesn't".
- When the first student has chosen their points, the pair play janken.
- The winner can only receive positive points and the loser can only receive negative points.
- After a few rounds or when time is up, students count their points and declare a winner.
VARIATIONS:
- This can be done as a class activity with students walking from friend to friend. They will then need to keep track of their own points.
- The point system can be altered in any way you see fit. For example, the points go to the winner of janken whether or not they are positive or negative.
