Wasn't much space to fit directions so you will need to explain/demonstrate.
Each student receives one of the five sheets. Each sheet only has 3 boxes filled in. Students then find a partner and play JANKEN to decide who goes first. Winner asks a question to try and fill in one of the empty boxes.
Example:
Student 1: Did you see Mt Fuji?
Student 2: Yes, I did. It was beautiful.
Student 1: tick 'beautiful' under Mt Fuji
If Student 2 does not know the answer, they simply say 'Sorry, I don't know.'
Student 2 then asks their own question.
Students then find a new partner and continue trying to complete the checklist.
If you want to make this into a writing task, you can have them write a few sentences based on the boxes they've filled in.
Eg. 'I saw BTS. They were cool.'
I think instead of "Sorry, I don't know" as a response from Student 2 if they don't know, it should be "No, I didn't" since the original question is "Did you see Mt. Fuji?" and it enforces using that grammar. Otherwise, I love this activity! I really had no idea what I should make for my students to practice this grammar, you saved my life!
