I fixed a clitch on the demo screen. It should be possible to click through to summon the asteroids, alien and defender now. Sorry if it caused you any troubles. I had accidently unclicked a tap on the transitions bar.
Added a version for reviewing 'er', 'est', 'more' and 'most. This starts with Alien Surprise. That is a 'Hot Potato Game'. Give the groups bean bags. They take turns making a sentence with the key words and then passing the bean bag. When the alien shows up the one holding the bean bag is the loser. To control it just click through. Once the music starts the alien will show up in a minute. On the demo screen it takes 20 seconds. Note that audio can be an issue. Also although its a group activity I don't have students put their desks together. They can just face each other. They should stay sitted so everyone can see the board.
There are two versions. A superlatives version and the original version practicing prepositions from Sunshine Two.
SPACE DEFENDERS VS. ASTEROIDS
This is a write and race game the students can do in groups. This works best in groups of four. I generally erase the scores from the first game and start fresh. On the demonstration screen, click to show the asteroids arrive, click to see the alien ask for help and then click for the defender ship to arrive. Click again to clear the alien. Now show the first question type. Click on A to show the first sample question. For the prepositions activity It is a picture. If the question is a picture the students should write two sentences about it. After the picture appears click on it to see the answer and then the answer to remove both. Then click on a number (not 5 or 6) and one asteroid is destroyed. Say the group gets 1 point. Then click on B. This is two sentences. For this one the students draw the picture in the box. Then click on 6. This destroys the main asteroid and the group gets 3 points. Click on the banner to go to the next screen. On the next screen click on 5 to show a miss. The planet is destroyed the team gets -5 points. When that happens you click on the banner to go to the next screen.
There is a very small hidden hyperlink banner at the bottom middle of each screen. It leads to the game over screen. if it gets clicked by mistake there are arrows for going back into the game.
