First two slides are the title slides. Let them play through until RACETRACK appears, then click to the next slide.
Slide 3 is a review of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
Slide 4 is the beginning of the races.
*Click once to bring the competators up to the start line. In groups or individually, let the kids pick their favourite to win.
*Once everyone is satisfied with their choices, tell the students to watch very carefully and click for the cars to race off. There is no need to click again, the cars will go through the finish line on their own. Some of the cars will do interesting things! (I tell the students to keep a careful eye, but I usually have to replay the slide a few times for the students to see who comes in first, cause they're all laughing and screaming at the cars)
*next slide will bring you to the winners circle. Ask who came in first? Second? Third? Forth? Really hammer those numbers. Ask the students to make a full sentance eg. Blue is first!
There are 4 rounds. Hope others can enjoy this!
Thank you so much for this.. i was struggling to make a ppt that made the cars move smoothly. I have one kid in my class that finds it very difficult to engage in many topics but he is a car fanatic and this would be the perrfect thing for him to enjoy! thanks alot
I did this with my special needs class today, and they had a blast. It is really funny, it was nice to see them enjoying it, thank you!
This is fantastic. I was smiling the whole time checking this out. I'm sure my special needs class will love this.
Holy crap this is amazing. Thank you so much for posting this. I used it as a finishing fun activity for my 参観日 class the other day and even the parents were into it. If you have any other versions pleeeeeease post those too!!!!!
thank you for this, this is my first year as an ALT here in Japan...I was able to download this on my chromebook, but unable to play it, I am excited to share this with my students, but how does it play?
@mrouzo It should just play automatically for the most part. You only need to click to trigger the cars up to the start line and click again once they get there. I've never played it on a chromebook before though, just the old laptop my school has provided me with, I hook it up to the TV get the kids to pick the 'winning car' and then let the fun begin. I'm sorry I can't be more help.
This was really what the students needed on a rainy Monday morning! Chapeau! Bravo! Some silliness, not too much is needed sometimes, so cheers!
awesome!! tysm
great work!!!!!!
