My hangman alternative. Every incorrect letter is an ice cream scoop off of the cone.
This is my first time making a powerpoint game, so I'm sorry if it's a weird and awkward set up. It's a lot more work than I thought, so hats off to you proficient power pointers!
The second slide is a template slide for you to copy and make your own words from. I also left the words I used with my JHS 1st years for your use/reference.
How to use:
-Click on a letter to guess it.
-After an incorrect guess, click on the ice cream to drop a scoop. (I didn't know how to make the ice cream fall automatically, but this way I could give the students extra chances.)
-The losing Pusheen is triggered automatically after the last scoop drops. The winning Pusheen is triggered by clicking the lollipop in the bottom right corner. Clicking either the winning or losing Pusheen will take you to the last slide.
-The blue next button goes to the next slide.
To make your own:
1) Add the correct amount of blanks at the bottom of the slide.
2) Use individual textboxes or word arts for each letter in the answer. Animate them to appear when the corresponding letter is clicked. If your computer is in Japanese like mine, you can do this when 開始のタイミング in the animation options, however, make sure you set the animation to "with previous," and not "on click" afterwards.
3) Delete the Xs on the correct letters.
There might be an easier way to do all this, but this is what works for me!
