The idea of this worksheet is to get the students thinking about whether the pronoun is the subject, object or possessive and use the correct pronoun.
First, go over the different pronouns in the chart. You can also refer to the example where it shows the corresponding Japanese. Explain the difference between subject, object and possessive if they are unsure.
Read the example introduction of Tanjiro together and point out the pronouns. Ask what type of pronouns they are.
Then, have them complete the other examples with the missing pronouns.
Answers:
This is Anya Forger.
(She) likes peanuts.
(Her) hair is pink.
Do (you) know (her)?
This is BTS.
(They) are a K-pop band.
(Their) songs are great.
I like (them).
Finally, have the students choose someone to introduce. It could be an anime, movie or game character, celebrity, music band, etc.
The important thing is they need to include at least one subject pronoun, one object pronoun and one possessive pronoun.
Have them write a similar introduction to the examples and let them draw a picture of the person or group (if you have enough time).
Either leave the activity there and mark their writing later or turn it into a speaking exercise too by having some (or all the) students present their person or group to the class.
Most common problem students encounter using pronouns! Thanks for this, EnglishRabbit! If this worksheet has ppt for speaking exercise, it would be great! Thanks again!
