Market thieves: revamping the missing game

A missing game where animals steal your fruits, vegetables and other food, from your market stand. Ask your students what's missing so they can get them back! Can be used for price/number practice too

Your students are the farmers, they have a stand filled with fruits, vegetables or food items.
We have 4 different thieves: the cat, the dog, the fox and the crow (raven). Each have their own level.

Have your students memorize what they see on each slide and when they are ready, click once for the animal to disappear. Click one more time for the shadow of the animal to come steal some items. Ask your class what is now missing. If they can find the missing fruit, vegetables or something else, they can ask it back either by just saying the word, or using a more complete sentence like "I'd like _____ back, please" or "I want _____ back, please". When you click the right buttons, the item will be returned to the food stand. (you can also ask how many, sometimes more than one goes missing)

(make sure you're familiar with the places to click to get said items back: the buttons are usually around the places where the fruits/vegetables/etc are missing)

I made another version with prices, which can be changed at will (for example if you need much smaller numbers). It's for the lesson where students have to calculate the price. In this version, have your students count how much money they are losing, according to the missing items. (these slides, shouldn't have buttons to get the items back...)

The price version also has a 5th level, with all 4 animals stealing different items depending on their diet. The fifth level also have different food like ham, sausages, garlic, one chicken, bread etc...

Throughout the game I used mostly food, fruits, vegetables that can be found in the picture dictionary aside from two: garlic and dragon fruits.

You also have bags of soybeans in level 4 and cheese wheels in level 5 (might not be obvious that that's what they are).

Answer sheet is at the very end, in the untitled section. It's really just for the teacher, as a reminder of what goes missing where.

I gave up finding a sound for each animal haha but maybe in the future I will. For now there's only music in the first and second slide, and the first level has sound...

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it with your students! Let me know how it goes!

Done. Added the buttons cheat sheet, and fixed the noise for the transitions.

If you could try to reduce the file size so non-paying members can access this, that would be great. Large images massively increase ppt sizes.
