This activity is trying to get the students to try and get them talking some more. Can be used as a warm up activity or at the end of class when you have some extra time.
I printed out three sets of the cards and laminated so we could do this throughout the unit.
How to:
Everyone gets one card, passed out at random.
Green Cards are food. Red Cards are places.
If you have a green card you will ask “Where are you from?”
If you have a red card you will ask “What do you have?”
Answers will be “I’m from __.” Or “I have __.”
When they find their pair, come to the teachers and say together “The ___ is from ____.” Then they can go sit down. *if there is no pair, the teacher will become the pair.
会話例:
Janken for who goes first.
A: Hello
B: Hello
A: (例えばgreen card) Where are you from?
B: (例えばred card) I’m from Brazil! What do you have?
A: I have chicken!
(we decided how to end the conversation as a class - they could say like "oh no! Thank you. See you." or "Cool! We did it! Let's go!" something they felt comfortable with because we want them to have fun!)
*I did write the conversation on the board for them to refer to as well.
That's how I've used these so far, but if anyone else has a better method feel free to share!
