Disney Listening Practice

Students listen to a Disney song and choose the word they hear in the song

To practice listening, my JTE and I like having the students listen to Disney music. We choose Disney songs with fairly simple vocabulary. Then, I prepare a short worksheet like the ones attached below where students listen and choose the correct word they hear in the song. For example...

"( Do / Does ) you want to build a snowman?"

There are many ways to format this activity. For most of my classes, the students choose between two options given on the worksheet. Sometimes, we will relisten to the song in the next class and make the activity a bit harder by giving students the first letter of a word, and then students complete the word themselves. You can make this activity even more challenging by leaving complete blanks. And instead of using Disney songs, you can also take student requests!

We usually only do half the song because of time and will usually play it twice. Once we finish listening, I go over the answers and then we watch the original movie clip of the song.

I included worksheets for Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, Part of Your World, and For the First Time in Forever.
