I made one Jeopardy for each season.
I have students make their usual groups and group leader goes first. They go in group order.
I let students discuss amongst themselves, but only the student whose turn it is answers, then every turn the next student goes.
If a student can't answer a question or time runs out, other teams get a chance to answer. Same for multiple choice.
If a student can't answer in English but know it in Japanese, I grant them half points and whoever can answer in English in another group gets the remaining points.
Choose however many seconds to answer you want.
The last 10 minutes I do 2x points.
Feel free to change questions if you want.
Thanks for sharing, always great to have some quizzes like this ready to go. Your rules seem pretty fair and clear to me. I had to look up zorbing, I guessed it correctly, but I'd never heard of it. Seems like anything can be a sport these days!
Just the thing I was looking for- thank you so much!
Thank you both, I figured it was my turn to contribute a little.
Made other posts and I'm trying to normalize using JAMBOARDS instead of printing whenever there's a chance. :)
The questions in the Spring Jeopardy (the one I recently used), were way too difficult for Jr. high school students so I had to edit it quite a bit. Loved the style and template though, thanks!
Are you able to share a google slides link for the summer jeopardy one?
