This a battleships game, but instead of numbers and letters, it's frequency and chores from New Horizon unit 8, and instead of battleships, it's a fat cat.
I found that most of my students and homeroom teachers don't know the battleships game, so there is a short powerpoint with a few slides to demostrate the idea, then give the students the worksheet and ask them to draw a fat cat (I tell them it can only be 4 squares in size) and they don't show anyone.
Then the students pair up and play. e.g. 1st student 'I always brush my teeth.'
2nd student 'No. I sometimes walk my dog.:
1st student 'Yes.'
You can choose different vocab from 'Yes' or 'No.', and if your students are good you could sugget they say 'close' or 'far'.
I can't recall the exact name, but I was inspired by a happy cat/frog cat preposition worksheet.
Is that a Microsoft publisher file? I forgot that program existed
I like this idea of finding something to practice the adverbs of frequency. I'll try my own spin on this idea. Thanks again!
