Material:
- One activity sheet per pair
- One token (e.g.: eraser) per pair
This game is played in pairs. One student represents Canada and the other represents Japan.
First, the token is placed in the middle, where the Canadian and Japenese flags are. The students janken. The winner decides the direction of the token, following the arrows, for one move. Then, the student has to say what is written on that particular spot. Sometimes, it's a dialogue, so both students have something to say, other times, it's just the winning student. Then, they do the same thing again. To score, the token has to reach the opposite end of the board. They can keep the score on the left corner of the worksheet. Once a goal is made, they start in the middle again.
The files I provided are for Unit 5 & 6 of the 5年生 Blue Sky textbook. Many other grammar points could be used with this game, with different levels. I played it in ES and in JHS before.
*I found a soccer game version of this game in one of my predecessor's printed workseet files at school. I simply modified it to my needs, and since I couldn't find something in the same format on here, here it is!
Awesome! I personally would save this as an image and put it as a background on jamboard, I avoid printing at all costs if I can!
Merci beaucoup! :)
@fukutanisan That's so true! Using the iPads at my schools is a work in progress, but I will definitely suggest that next time! Merci à toi! :D
