I played this with my elementary school third grade students and they loved it, but be warned it'll be a very noisy classroom.
Prep: one set of cards per 2 students (I made about 15 cards with different fruits, vegetables, sports and colours)
Play: place the set of cards face up on the desk between two students. They play rock, scissors, paper (in English). The winner says "I like (thing on top card)" and the loser says "I don't like (thing on top card)", and the winner then takes the card. At the end, the student with the most cards wins overall.
It's simple but the kids went pretty wild for it! Encourage them to be dramatic about liking or not liking the things, wander around and interject "Really??" when a student says they don't like strawberries or something, have fun with it!
It can also probably be used to practice a bunch of different positive and negative sentences.
This is a fun game for that level of students.
thanks man
This is perfect! Thank you :)
