This lesson will take 2 to 3 classes.
First class will be this powerpoint, and the second to third class will be the student's prep time and (or just) their presentation.
Start with your own show and tell.
I brought different items from a kalimba, to pictures, to my favorite book.
I wanted students to know that they can present about a variety of things.
Then contitnue with tips and the 5 components of the show and tell.
Have students get into groups and discuss what they could bring/show.
Japanese is ok for this section, so they can freely exchange ideas.
Time them so they can make a decision of what they should present about.
Next is the writing.
Discuss with your JTE about what students are allowed to bring to school, and the timeline for this project.
If you are able to have a day for students to prep and get their writing checked, etc.

Students have shared pictures of their dogs, or talked about a wallet their parents gave them, a stuffed animal their mom made them as a baby, or showed off their karate moves or kendama skills!
