This activity is a fun way to introduce indirect questions!
I usually use this activity after introducing and practicing the grammar with some example sentences.
Step 1: Students fill in the table with info about themselves; birthday, favorite food, etc. One box has been left blank so that students have the option to write any other favorite thing. Make sure to tell the students that they should keep their answers secret!
Step 2: Explain that they will now make a quiz about themselves. Demonstrate with JTE/class so students can see how they will be using their quiz questions. Then give the students time to choose and write their own questions using the "Do you know what my favorite ~~~ is?"
Step 3: It's quiz time! You can structure this however you like (in groups, class mingle, sushiro, etc). When they have finished you can check to see if anyone has managed to get a perfect score (i.e: they're best friends).
Writing Challenge: If you have time, you can get the students to write some sentences based on the activity. "~~~~ knows what my favorite food is."
I used art uploaded by the altopedia user altirasuto to make the worksheet :)) they have so many cute designs, so be sure to check them out!
